Our job is to satisfy our audiences with accurate movies that clearly meet the highest standards of production — from formulation of the script to rendering it beautifully on the big screen. That’s what both our content and our audiences deserve.

Natasha Howes’ brings a broad mix of film experience to the Origin team. Her career in film spans production, exhibition, promotion, curation, and education.  She accredited at the British Film Institute and gained a Post-Grad specialization in Film Studies from the University of Nottingham whilst launching her career as a programmer, event producer and critic in the UK’s art cinema sector.  Natasha created and managed a funded Film Co-operative to support regional film artists and produced ‘Screen Test’ and ‘Shorted’ at the Midlands Arts Centre, UK, and The Stratford Upon Avon Digital Film Festival. She also managed the visual jockey collective ‘Sonic Vision’.

Natasha immigrated to Canada in 2010, where she mentored the next generation of creative talent at a leading film school, with a particular focus on development, production, delivery, sponsorship and marketing, financing and the cultural industries.

Howes’ producer credits include: The 13th Day (2009) a digital feature inspired by the true story of Fatima; Late Harvest (2016), a musical drama that won the Golden Sheaf Award; the 3D documentary Cosmic Origins (2010); a Telefilm Canada funded feature Chained (in post); and the major theatrical motion picture, Fatima (2020).
